Jammin'

Photobucket
There is nothing better on a roll or a slice of bread than homemade freezer jam. I haven't made freezer jam for the past two years and I have forgotten how much I LOVE it. My sister-in-law invited me over on Sunday night to make some with her extra peaches. It was so yummy that I went out the next day and bought some more peaches, and raspberries and blackberries. After another evening of making jam I now have the following jams:

Now it's time to get those rolls ready for tonight! YUM!

Where did you get those great jars in your first picture?

Looks delicious. I made some jam too and sadly, it never crossed my mind to mix fruits. Now I just may have to go make some more. It all looks delicious!

Yummy! Can you post recipes? I love freezer jam too! I just need to get a new freezer to hold everything. Freezer jam is so yummy and sooo easy. Great job, Molly!

I was lucky enough to get some. I have to say I loved the Raspberry Peach. Bet the others are just as good!

Where did you get the berries Laur?

The jars I have in the first picture are store bought chili sauce jars that my mother-in-law was throwing out. The other (not so cute) jars are just ball jars.

I got the berries at costco just because our local farmers market didn't have anymore.

I just used the sure-jell recipe in the pectin box. I also tried the MCP brand. I have decided I like the sure-jell brand better because it stays a little thicker.

You and Andrea are getting so homemaker-y, I feel inspired. Your jam puts my raspberry to shame in their plastic containers. Your kids are adorable and I am still so impressed at all your photography. Glad to see everything is going well with you guys!

YOu are so cool Laurie! Why didn't we do these together? Guess I had better get on it with the jam. We are headed out today to pick apples for some apple pie filling, apple sauce and apple butter. I love having food storage! Enjoy the jam. Say hi to the fam

Wow! Those look sooooo good. I did strawberry jam last year and ordered fresh strawberries and peaches from Oregon this year. I have yet to bottle them. Seeing your post definitely makes me more motivated to do it!
