HaPpY ThAnkSgIviNg!

I tried the recipe for these cake pops found here. They may look great, but the inside of mine turned out all soggy and mushy. I should know by now that I am one who needs to practice things like this over and over to get it right. And I should have started with something a little more simple because they took almost all day long to make. I was planning to give them to all the people in my family (adults included), but now I think I will give them to just the kids. Well actually, the more I think about it, they might just end up in the trash. I am looking forward for my next attempt!

New Orleans

My boys and I flew to New Orleans last week to go and visit the Liddles, our good friends who lived by us in Cleveland (most of you know who they are). The boys loved seeing their old friends again that they used to hang out with a ton, and it was so great to hang out and laugh with Kristel again!
We did a ton of fun things. We took the kids to an awesome Aquarium, and saw the Mississippi River.



We went to a park and fed the crazy hilarious ducks, and the mouse beavers, which were disgusting and looked like huge rats swimming in the pond. The kids loved chasing the wild chickens and roosters. It was so weird to me that they just run wild all over the place. It was pretty funny- Ummmm, Hmmm (that's for you Kristel).



We also searched the swamp lands for alligators and spotted a few, which was surprising because it was close to hibernation season. The kids thought that was great. I thought I got a picture of them, but apparently I didn't.

We also went and played along a lake shore which was so nice and the weather was gorgeous even though we had clouds most of the time. We were able to have GNO with Amy Norby and went to see 'The Secret Life of Bees'. It was fun to eat the food out there, and believe me we ate a lot!! It was also so great to see the kids just pick up where they left off. Coleman and Kate played pretty good together as well.


Thanks Kristel and Justin for being such great hosts! It was so fun to see where you have been living the last year and a half.

Just to let you know...

...things are going to change around here!
















We couldn't be more excited!!!! Everything is normal and the baby looks healthy.

Considering going private

I have been worrying a lot more and thinking a lot more about going private with my blog. It's too bad there are such weirdos out there. It does make me a little sad, because it drives me CRAZY when someone looks at my blog and I go to look at theirs and it says 'this blog is open to invited readers only'. So, if you would still like to view my blog leave me your email address and I will invite you, and if you think I would like your blog you can invite me too!

Just to clarify- no I am not getting weird comments. I just have been nervous about plastering my kids all over the web, but like I said, I am still thinking about it. Plus, I don't want people stealing pictures off of my website. I don't know what to do, I love finding new fun blogs all the time. What do you guys think?
